Ingredients
Ground beef, tomato, broth, barley, vegetables
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion - chopped fine
- 1 - 28 oz. can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- 3 cans beef broth
- 1 can tomato soup
- 4 carrots - chopped finely
- 3 sticks celery - chopped finely
- 1/2 cup barley
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- salt & pepper to taste
- basil and parsley flakes
Directions
Brown meat and onions ... drain well
Combine all other ingredients in large pot - add meat mixture
Simmer, covered, at least 2 hours
Serves at least 10
Freezes well!!
